Welcome to Department of Chemistry

● Chemistry Department of N.A.S. College is one of the well established Departments of the faculty of science.
● The Department was established in 1956 with U.G. Classes.
● P.G. Classes commenced in 1965.
● The vision of Chemistry Department is to graduate distinguished chemists in knowledge and various skills as well as to attain a regional prestigious rank in research and community service.
● The Department provides rigorous preparation of citizens whose career path requires expertise in chemistry.
● The Department provides opportunity for  specialization in Organic Chemistry.
● The Department has 08 sanctioned faculty positions.
● At present 06 permanent faculty members are working in the Department.
● Out of six faculty members, one member is  working as  Professor and  five members are working as Assistant Professor.
● The faculty members in the Department see themselves as a resource for our our University, Region, State and Nation.
● The Department  has a rich library having nearby 2,000 books.
● The Department has 5 laboratories fully equipped with instruments and apparatus.
