Home science with a specialization in Clinical nutrition dietetics provide a strong foundation in biological, social science and humanities with advanced courses work in metabolism, nutrition and foods. The field of dietetics allow students to apply science and art of nutrition and foods to meet health and nutrition needs of groups and individuals and promote health and wellness of society and nation.
Nutrition and dietetics program prepares students for careers in a wide variety of institutional and private settings, clinical nutrition prepares nutritional professionals in health care, practioners, specialists in business and industries related to food and nutrition, research and teaching at school, college and university level.
Objectives:
To produce competent nutritionists and dietetic professionals by imparting quality education and
vocational training and skills giving wide exposure to nuances of nutrition and dietetics.
