The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a pioneering initiative by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, designed to rank higher education institutions across the country. Launched in 2015, NIRF serves as a comprehensive and transparent system for assessing the performance of Indian universities and colleges across a broad range of parameters. For aided colleges, NIRF holds particular significance as it evaluates institutions based on a comprehensive set of parameters, including Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.
